RAW MATERIAL INSPECTION

Sentry has over the years developed a highly reliable and reputable international network of suppliers of raw materials. All incoming raw materials are held in a quarantine area, where they are sampled according to established statistical method and carefully analyzed according to the strictest standards. Upon release by our Quality Control department, raw materials are stored under carefully climate-controlled conditions until used in production.

PHARMACY

Our pharmacy operation is completely computerized to virtually eliminate the possibility of error. Using computer-generated manufacturing formulae, bar-coded raw materials are scanned and carefully weighed on computer-linked, precision digital scales. In addition, a double-check system, where one technician weighs while the other checks and records, is used.

GRANULATING AND BLENDING

The weighed raw materials are then processed according to the master formula. Sentry employs a variety of granulating techniques to achieve the proper physical characteristics. The processed raw materials are then blended until they meet approved standards of uniformity. Sentry has a variety of blenders of different shapes and sizes to achieve this desired result.

TABLETING

Sentry has a wide selection of tablet presses and tooling meet the unique requirements of each formula. Our high-trained operators constantly monitor and inspect the output for uniformity in appearance, weight, thickness, hardness and friability.

ENCAPSULATION

From high-speed fully automatic encapsulating machines for large runs to slower speed semi-automatic encapsulators for hard-to-run products, Sentry has the right machine for every encapsulation job. Capsules are produced under constant monitoring and inspection to assure accuracy and uniformity of fill weight and appearance.

COATING

Our coating department has a variety of equipment to provide the proper finish to any type of tablet. Sentry offers the choice of glaze, film, sugar and enteric coatings. We are experts at matching any color requirement.

PACKAGING

Sentry offers its customers a complete packaging service. Our variety of production equipment enables us to package your product in bottles, packets, canisters and canisters and jars - precisely, efficiently and economically. Our experience packaging staff constantly monitors all aspects production, from accurate count to proper labeling. We offer a broad selection of bottles - including HDPE, PET or glass - in round or custom shapes and in a wide range of colors. We utilize all types of closures and inner-seal, and we can affix all types of labels, including pressure-sensitive roll and cut labels, with imprinted lot numbers and expiration dates. We can apply all types of over-seals, including neck bands and full-body sleeves.

LABORATORY ANALYSIS

Sentry's in-house laboratories are equipped with the latest scientific instruments and analytical techniques. Our highly-trained staff tests all raw materials and finished products for potency and conformation to specifications and standards.
